MAP OF THE EVENT, TIMES AND HOW TO GET THERE

Major areas of the Frognerpark has been reserved for the event on June 7. and 8. In Oslo the transit will take place between 07:19 and 13:22 on June 8. Also before and after this period lots of exciting things will happen in the Frognerpark and we will celebrate this historic phenomenon in two days!

Opening hours for the event:

Monday June 7: 14.00-21.00 and
Tuesday June 8: 06.30-15.00

The organizers are the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Oslo, the Norwegian Astronomical Society (NAS) and the Nysgjerrigper Project of the Research Council of Norway. NAS has previously organized several major events in connection with astronomical events.


CAR PARKING

On the map parking spots close to the Frognerpark are marked. The space is quite limited. There are more parking opportunities in Majorstua area, towards Blindern and in the other direction towards Skøyen. With normal walking speed it will take 5 - 20 minutes to reach the Frognerpark from these areas.


HOW TO GET THERE

There are several public communications to the Frognerpark. Most important is bus number 20 which has quite frequent departures. Trams can also be used. The distance to the subway station at Majorstuen is only 5-10 minutes. We will give much more details here before June 7. On Trafikanten you will find departure times etc.

It is also possible to call the information number 177 for more details.

People staying nearby are recommended to walk or use a bycycle to the event.
